Miss Toye Honored As a Power Woman of Brooklyn

St. Patrick Catholic Academy Kindergarten teacher, Tara Toye, and her mother, Angella, received the Dynamic Duo Award at the Power Women of Brooklyn Gala.

The event was hosted by the publishers of the Home Reporter and Brooklyn Spectator newspapers, as well as DeSales Media, the communications branch of the Diocese of Brooklyn.

The gala is held annually to honor women who have made their mark in both business and their community. Miss Toye and her mother started their dance education at Horizons Dance Center in Gravesend, and now they teach at Horizons themselves.

The mother-daughter team also take their passion, knowledge, and experience and run a non-profit after-school talent program which helps students, who may be more inexperienced or who otherwise might not have the opportunity to take lessons at a professional dance studio, enhance their dance skills and confidence.

Congratulations to Miss Toye & her mother!
